OLLEROS - CHAVIN DE HUANTAR

A route used by the Pre Incas for the connection of the Callejons de Huaylas with the Valley of the Conchucos, in other words, the archaeological rests of Chavín de Huantar, sanctuary and ceremonial center, considered “Chavin culture matrix of the Peruvian Andean Civilization”. It is a long walk that crosses the Cordillera Blanca, through the Pass of Punta Yanashallash at 4700 meters, appreciating the Shaqsha (5.703m), Cashan (5 686m), Tuctupunta (5343m) and Huantzan (6 395m) Also we can take part in the customs and traditions of the farmers of towns like Shongo, Chichucancha, etc obviously with the aid of the animals of load of the ancestors of this area as the Llamas which will make us go back into the past.

1º Day  : Huaraz – Canrey Chico – Tzaracancha  

2º Day : Tzaracancha – Shoncopampa

3º Day : Shonkopampa – Chavin de Huantar – Huaraz
